Cooperation with Xuzhou Technical Institute

Delegation of Xuzhou Technical Institute (XZTI) visited ETU from 9 to 11 February under realization of joint educational programs.

Delegation of Xuzhou Technical Institute (XZTI) visited ETU from 9 to 11 February under realization of joint educational programs. The program of the visit included negotiations on enhancing of cooperation and communication with students.

On the first day guests were hosted by the rector of LETI V.M. Kutuzov. On the meeting implementation of joint training programs for bachelors in "Management of Engineering Systems" were discussed. The Chinese side expressed satisfaction with joint actions on organization of educational process and also noted high performance of first-year students of Xuzhou Technical Institute and senior students studying at LETI.

Conversation with representatives of XZTI with Chinese graduate students, masters and bachelors studying in ETU was held in videoconferencing hall in building 5. Vice-ideologist Yao Yixin motivated their fellow citizens to conscientious attitude to study, to getting of good education, qualifications and wide range of skills. He noted that Chinese students are sent to study at LETI to translate knowledge and put it into practice at home after the graduation. Then two undergraduates of Xuzhou Technical Institute studying at ETU were let have the floor. They thanked the direction and teachers of LETI for the opportunity to be trained in one of the leading electrical  universities in the world. In his turn, ETU Vice-Rector for International Affairs  Victor A. Tupik expressed his thanks to Chinese students, because they not only study well but also participate in university activities.

On February 10, the delegation of XZTI met with management of Faculty of Industrial Automation and Electrical Engineering and discussed opening of new areas of training "Mechatronics".

"Discussion with our Chinese colleagues was dedicated to financial and organizational issues related to opening of a new master's program. The result was an agreement that reflects further implementation of our plans. Guests were interested in availability of special subjects taught by representatives of LETI. By the time of the next meeting on which methodological issues will be discussed in details,  XZTI management will prepare summaries of disciplines", - says Dean of Faculty of Industrial Automation and Electrical Engineering Yuriy September.

In the frameworks of the meeting the leaders of Faculty of Industrial Automation and Electrical Engineering conducted an excursion into laboratories of Department of Automatic Control Systems and Department of Robotics and Industrial Automation.

"The Chinese liked the equipment of our laboratories. After reviewing with scientific developments of LETI colleagues expressed their interest in joint development of cheap and effective management systems, as well as in generating of clean electricity on the basis of combining wind and solar stations", - says Y.
