“Blood Donor Day” was held on 14-15 April at LETI. Trade union of students and post-graduates, as well as the military department of our university, were actively involved in organizing of the event.

"Blood Donor Day" has been held at our university since 2010. This spring the event lasted for two days as the number of those who want to become a donor is constantly growing. More than 300 people signed up for participation, but the capacity of the mobile station of blood transfusion is about 40 people per hour. Those who were waiting for their turn did not have to hover in a narrow corridor of building C, because for the first time "Blood Donor Day" was held in the cafe of building 5 where special seats were organized. Before blood donation each participant passed medical examination and drank tea with sweets. At the end of the procedure the donor was granted financial recompense.

According to Alexey, organizing of such events at universities allows students to feel their strength and health and to understand that it is very easy to do good things. Nevertheless the success of "Blood Donor Day" depends not only on those who wish to donate blood, but also on staff. Unfortunately, very often employees of mobile stations show bad attitude to donors and repel them, so first they must learn to communicate with people.

Alexey wished LETI donors to discover all good aspects of life: to do good deeds, to help people and thus make their life diverse and bright.
