From March 20 to March 23, 2017 ETU together with other participating universities of the Project 5-100 took part in the 12th Asian Pacific Association for International Education Conference and Exhibition APAIE in Kaohsiung (Taiwan).
The forum APAIE is the central event in the field of international education in the Pacific Rim where representatives of top management and heads of international departments of region universities discuss urgent tendencies and prospects of interaction concerning research activity and educational mobility.
This year ETU became the participant of the Forum for the second time. It was represented by the Head of Department of International academic mobility Maria A. Kiselyova and the Assistant Manager on scientific work of Department of Automatic Control Systems Anastasia D. Stotskaya.
Following the tradition of the last year, all the universities-participants of the Project were presented on one display space. Visitors could get information about the university and its programs, watch presentations, find out information about summer schools for foreign students.
As the result of the meetings, in June of 2017 delegation from University of Technology Troyes (France) is going to visit ETU. Representatives of the university were interested in Master program in the field of Automation and Mechatronics and also in cooperation in Electric Power Industry and Electrical Engineering.
These universities intend to become partner-universities of ETU: Abdullah Gul Univesrity (Turkey), University of Paris-Saclay, Seoul National University, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, University of Mons, Kindai University, Ateneo de Manila University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology в Гонконге. Soon ETU will sign agreements with some of them, delegates from the other potential partners plan to visit the university in autumn, 2017.
Participants of the Forum were very interested in ETU summer schools, especially guests from South Korea and India.
According to representatives of ETU, Russia attracts interest of foreign universities. Being an active member of world universal educational system that is forming now, the university expands opportunities for development of interdisciplinary projects.
