Laboratory Mitsubishi Electric was opened at LETI
On October 28, 2015 the ceremonial opening of scientific and educational laboratory of systems and automation equipment of dynamic objects of Mitsubishi Electric took place.
On October 28, 2015 within All-Russian scientific conference on problems of Management in Technical Systems (PUTS-2015) that is being held in St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University "LETI" the ceremonial opening of scientific and educational laboratory of systems and automation equipment of dynamic objects of Mitsubishi Electric took place.
The symbolical red tape was cut by Vice-Rector for Research of LETI Mikhail Y. Shestopalov and CEO of Department of Technical Support and International Department of Marketing of Mitsubishi Electric corporation Mr. Tokunaga Masaki.
According to the contract signed in March, 2015, Mitsubishi Electric corporation provided LETI with eight educational stands consisting of modern modular controllers, frequency converters with a set of modules of input-output, touch panels of the operator, and also blocks of switches and indicators. In the renovated audience 1205 in which the laboratory is located, new computers for carrying out theoretical occupations are also installed.
Main objective of creation of joint laboratory is integration of modern decisions into educational process in the sphere of industrial automation, granting to the interested circle of people the possibility of training and professional development on modern equipment, and also carrying out of scientific and methodological works.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, M. Y. Shestopalov emphasized that creation of this laboratory is the first step in development of cooperation between "LETI" and Mitsubishi Electric and hoped that in future the joint center of research of management processes will be created thanks to interaction.
"I am very glad to be in the new joint laboratory equipped with the advanced equipment. Our cooperation has huge potential. Science and technologies don't stand still therefore for improvement of educational and research process we will continue to deliver new equipment to university. If there is a possibility of carrying out joint researches, we are always ready to discuss it. Realizing such projects, we make a contribution to development of engineering branch of Russia. Undoubtedly, the graduates of LETI who were trained on our equipment will be able to achieve significant progress in career", – Tokunaga Masaki added.
