Elsevier is one of four largest publishing houses in the world.It was founded in 1880 in Amsterdam (Netherlands) . Elsevier publishes more than 2,000 journals, containing about 250 000 articles per year. Elsevier provides access to the archives of scientific articles for approximately 4,500 organizations and universities from 180 countries. More than 30 million scientists, specialists of all branches have access to information of the publishing house. The company maintains a database of scientific journals and citations of Scopus.
