"This holiday is considered the most esteemed because the war was very cruel. Now there is erosion in priority of this holiday. Russian history shows that since the Middle Ages there were many attempts to conquer and to press Russia. But all of them failed. These attempts continue today. It is important for country's leadership to be very careful and wise in this situation. I hope that everything goes well and we will celebrate our holiday over the years "- participant of the Great Patriotic War, assistant professor of Theoretical Fundamentals of Radio Engineering Department Yuriy E. Lavrenko.

"69 years ago our famous announcer Yuriy Levitan said great words that sounded in all reproducers in all cities,"The Great Patriotic War waged by Soviet people against Nazi Germany ended victoriously". It was a great holiday: people all over the country rejoiced, embraced, kissed... For us this holiday is sacred: without it we wouldn’t have our other holidays. Our Soviet people, army and navy did not let German’s plans come to life. This year is special – 70 years ago Red Army and Navy won ten outstanding victories which are called "Stalin's 10 strikes." The first was hit on the Leningrad front, our city was liberated from the Nazi siege. I am the son of 431 Artillery Regiment of 189 Kingiseppsky Division and I participated in those battles. For liberation of Kingissepp our division was awarded the Order of Red Banner. In 1943 I received an award for defense of Leningrad. I'm very proud of it. Later I was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the second degree. On March 9, 1944 I was injured in Estonia. This was the end of the war for me. Later I entered the Nakhimov Naval Academy and graduated with gold medal,"- shared his memories participant of World War II, Captain of 1st rank Nikolay S. Senchugov.

On behalf of youth a student of 4th year Victor Korablin addressed to the audience: "On this glorious holiday I would like to thank those who, risking their lives, gifted us the right for happiness. This sacrifice is impossible to forget. Thanks to it we are alive, our parents and our children will live. Victory Day is the birthday of each of us. Now we need to vaccinate to youth knowledge and respect for the feat of veterans."
