From December, 6 to December, 8 delegation of ETU "LETI" visited Swinburne University of Technology, located in the city of Melbourne (Australia). Members of the delegation were Senior Vice-rector Victor Nikolaevich Sheludko and Vice-rector for International Affairs Victor Anatolyevich Tupik.
In Swinburne University of Technology they had meetings with Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Development) professor Alexander Subic, Pro Vice-Chancellor (International research Engagement and development) Ajay Kapoor, Executive Dean of Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology professor John L. Wilson and Associate Director of International Research Engagement Pankaj Arora.
The main goal of the meeting was discussion of details of agreement on joint training of graduate students, which signing is planned for the beginning of 2017. The parties are to approve the directions of scientific research that are interesting to the both universities, to agree about the number of graduate students accepted on the joint program and to determine formats of interaction for establishment of contacts between Ph.D. thesis mentors.
Interaction between the universities began in March, 2016 in Melbourne, Australia at the APAIE Exhibition (Asia-Pacific Association of the International Education) where possibilities of cooperation in educational and scientific spheres were discussed and signing of agreement about cooperation is planned.
