On February 10, 2016 at 17:30 in the memorial museum of A. S. Popov of St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University "LETI" presentation of the book "Imant G. Freyman. Selectas" will take place.  It will open new pages of history of domestic radio engineering that were earlier "hidden".

I.G. Freyman (1890 – 1929) is one of the pioneers of domestic radio engineering and electronics, graduate of ETI of emperor Alexander III, manager of the Russia's first chair of radio engineerings of ETI – LETI, professor of Naval and Military and engineering (nowadays Military academy of communication of S. M. Budenny) academies, the first chairman of section of communication and supervision of NTK of MS of RKKF, founder of domestic scientific and engineering school of radio engineering, initiator of the radio amateur movement (1921).

Book "Imant G. Freyman. Selectas" was published according to the solution of an academic council of faculty of radio engineering and telecommunications of SPBGETU of "LETI" supported by administration of the university.

In works I.G. Freymana, "teachers of all teachers from radio engineering", for the first time there was also a term "radio technician". The main directions of development and formation of radio engineering from 1915 to 1929 – the transition period "from a spark and an arch to the electron tube" found the reflection in its articles and excerpts from the books included in the collection.

The biographic sketch preceding the main book contents is written by the granddaughter of the prof. I.G. Freyman director of the Memorial museum Ampere-second. Popova L.I. Zolotinkina Cand.Tech.Sci.

The presentation will be supported by music of F. Chopin and P. I. Tchaikovsky.
