Research of LETI students - in the finals of the All-Russian competition!

Six students of ETU "LETI" became finalists of the competition of scientific research works within the framework of the III All-Russian Youth Scientific Forum "The Science of the Future - the Science of the Young", which will be held from 12 to 14 September 2017 in Nizhny Novgorod.

In correspondence stage of All-Russian Contest of research attended the annual winners of the open competition for the best research work among students ETU "LETI". Scientific expertise of submitted applications was carried out by independent experts from among Russian scientists who are specialists in the relevant field of knowledge. The selection of the best scientific works was carried out according to the following criteria: the relevance of the research; clarity in the characteristics of the object, the subject and the methods of investigation; presence of justification of the set goals and objectives; scientific novelty of the project; consistency and clarity of presentation; style and grammatical level of work; the creative nature of the work and the independence of the approach to research.

The number of the finalists of III All-Russian Contest of research works among undergraduate and graduate students included the following representatives ETU "LETI":

  • Bogaevsky Danil (FKTI) - the project "Development of high-performance methods for digital filtering";
  • Dubrovina Polina (FIBS) - the project "Methods of constructing the 3D-model of the human head";
  • Lyubina Lyubov (FRT) - the project "Flat metal sharply directional K-band antennas with spatial feeding";
  • Mozhaeva Ekaterina (FRT) - the project "Study of the limitations of the matching bands of small-sized whip antennas by nefoster chains";
  • Murenin Ivan (FKTI) - the project "Development of methods for visual analysis of movements of critical infrastructure employees";
  • Skorobogatova Alena (FIBS) - the project "Development of a device for measuring blood pressure by an oscillometric method using neural networks for the analysis of blood pressure signals".

In the final of the All-Russian competition representatives of ETU "LETI" will held their talks to the jury members, which will include Russian and foreign scientists. Winners will be awarded with diplomas and valuable prizes. All the finalists of the contest will be awarded with certificates of forum participants, and their works will be published in the forum's abstract.

According to the postgraduate student of FKTI Danil Bogaevsky for LETI students participation in this contest provided an opportunity to get an objective assessment of their scientific works and to declare themselves in the scientific community. He also noted that for a successful performance in the final stage it is necessary to consistently and clearly present the material in the talk, and then distinctl answer the questions of the jury.

The III All-Russian Youth Scientific Forum "The Science of the Future - the Science of the Young" is held by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation on the basis of Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod. The main event of the Forum will be the final of the III All-Russian Contest of research works among undergraduate and graduate students. The tasks of the forum are to support the scientifically gifted youth of Russia, to involve young people in finding answers to the solution of global scientific problems, to expand the young people's views on science as an important resource of Russian society, and to strengthen educational and scientific ties between generations of scientists.

The competition is held in three stages and covers twelve scientific areas: agro-, bio- and food technologies; humanitarian sciences; information technologies and computer systems; mathematics and mechanics; mechanical engineering and power engineering; life sciences and medicine; earth sciences, ecology and rational nature management; new materials and methods of construction; social sciences; physics and astronomy; chemistry and chemical technologies; digital and intelligent manufacturing technologies.
