Return visit of LETI delegation to Xuzhou
From 16 to 20 March 2015 areturn visit of "LETI" to Xuzhou Technical Institute was held. Its purpose was to discuss progress and prospects of joint training programs for bachelors.
From 16 to 20 March 2015 return visit of St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University "LETI" to Xuzhou Technical Institute was held. Its purpose was to discuss progress and prospects of joint training programs for bachelors in "Management of Engineering Systems" and "Mechatronics".
The members of delegation were LETI Dean of Faculty of Industrial Automation and Electrical Engineering Y. V. Sentiabrev, assistant professor of Department of Automatic Control Systems S. E. Golik and Vice-Head of Department of Russian Language L. Sh. Seyfetdinova.
During the talks the sides reviewed the results of the Bachelor programs in "Management of Engineering Systems", discussed ways of improving of efficiency of learning Russian language as well as training of young Chinese teachers. During the meeting LETI delegation presented teaching materials for the new program "Mechatronics" to Chinese colleagues.
"During the negotiations we were able to prove to the Chinese side that we can teach disciplines specified in the curriculum. Our experts have a wealth of knowledge and experience, and that helps them to teach at high level. At the same time, we understand that quality of education dependents on knowledge of Russian language. Therefore, we will invest more resources in study of it as well as involve teachers of Department of Automatic Control Systems in the educational process, "- said the Dean of Faculty of Industrial Automation and Electrical Engineering Y. Sentiabrev.
As part of this project 103 people entered Xuzhou Technical Institute on the first year of Master course. On the second year, Chinese students will learn topics required for further study at LETI which begins on the fourth year of study.
Research work was an important topic of discussion. The parties reached an agreement on joint development of low-speed twin-rotor wind turbine in the interests of Xuzhou Technical Institute, and Jiangsu Province, where it is located.
Besides the talks, the program of the trip included exams in Russian language for students of the first and third year of Xuzhou Technical Institute and young Chinese teachers of Russian Language. Despite the difficulties, everyone answered questions of the examiners and received positive reviews.
It is to be recalled that in February 2015 delegation of Xuzhou Technical Institute held talks with LETI on expanding of cooperation. The meeting resulted with an agreement that reflects the further implementation of training programs for bachelors in "Mechatronics".
