We congratulate all the ETU students on their professional holiday and invite them to participate in the events dedicated to the Russian Students' Day - The Day of St. Tatiana.
On January 25, 1755 Empress Elizabeth signed a decree establishing the first in Russia Moscow University. In Russian Ordo this day was traditionally celebrated in memory of the Great Martyr Tatiana, who took death for the faith. So St. Tatiana became the patroness of Moscow University and of all students, and the history of the holy day is now inseparably linked with the Enlightenment in Russia. Since 2006 Tatiana's Day became the Day of Russian Students' in accordance with Decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
