Arts festival "Step to the stage" was held in LETI on April 15-18.
Arts festival "Step to the stage" was held in LETI on April 15-18. These days contestants and audience had very intense program. After the grand opening, held on April 15, participants and anybody who wanted visited "Chinese Culture Day", and then they went on a fascinating tour "About the ETU students, variety art, theater and history". Gala concert became the perfect end of the festival.
The second day of the festival was held on April 16. In the events hall of building 5 "Chinese Culture Day" was held. Senior lecturer of Russian Language Department Natalya Ovcharenko initiated the event. It was supported by Department of International Relations of LETI. Students from China, who were excited to tell about their culture, art, painting and traditions, were invited to the meeting.
On the third day there was an excursion to the participants and creative teams of the Festival. Bus took everyone to memorable and historic places of the Petrograd side. Head of association "We are Petersburgers!" Tatiana Cheboksarova accompanied them during the trip.
On the last day all contestants competed for victory in one of two nominations: original genre and vocals. All the performances were to be in the style of a musical.
On festival stage bright and colorful items from popular musicals could be seen. Oleg Fominskiy opened the concert with the song from “Moulin Rouge”. Kseniya Kalinina, winner of the concert "The copy is true ", held on the first day of the festival, performed «Some people» from «Gypsy». Contestant Daniel Zinchenko from LETI choir presented an original item – he played song from Notre - Dame de Paris «Belle» on saxophone, and Margarita Demina performed dance. Then Marina Raevskaya came to the stage with vocal composition from "Les Miserables".
After amazing performance of our singers finest hour for dancers came. Farzona Abduzhalilzoda performed item from the musical "Let's dance". Repeated participant of the festival Nikolay Vladimirov showed sketch from the play "Romeo and Juliet" and proved to everyone that even breakdance can be danced to classical music.
Guests of the event also showed their original numbers. Dance studios TaLeDance and Modern Step, vocal group "Children of the Sun", the winner of the audience voting Evgenia Mikhailova and dance group Let's be also performed.
In the category "Original genre" prize was awarded to Ekatherina Fokina with dance song "Rock Opera Mozart ". And the best vocalist became Dana Kenzhegalieva with her item in the style of musical "Burlesque".
