XIV All-Russian Festival "PR - profession of the third millennium" completed its work on April 11.

XIV All-Russian Festival "PR - profession of the third millennium" completed its work on April 11.  About 300 future PR-specialists from all over Russia, as well as experts and teachers in the field of PR, marketing, advertising and journalism gathered at St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University "LETI". Organizer of the annual festival was the Department of Public relations of LETI, which is one of Russian leaders in the field of PR-specialists trainings.

At the closing ceremony of the Festival the best team on the basis of all the activities of last week was handed a cup "PRizvanie". The winner was the team of Ulyanovsk State Technical University. At the ceremony nominees and winners of the festival events were also awarded prizes and gifts from partners and sponsors. Items of the creative team of the Festival completed the evening.

Plenary session of students conference "PRoryv - 2014" took place on April 7. Marina Akulich, blog secretary of MTS, Dmitry P. Gavra, Head of Public Relations Department of Journalism Faculty of SPSU, Andrey P. Barannikov, director general of communication agency SPN Communications performed there.

The extensive program of the Festival allowed participants to fully express their professional knowledge and skills. Within the format of professional workshops teams developed a project proposed by the general partner of the Festival - MTS. In 2014 topic of case was devoted to developing of integrated PR-program on promotion of unique charity project of MTS 'Generation of Mowgli". Students had to listen to four briefs from experts in the fields of advertising, marketing and PR and solve cases on the main stages of preparation of the project: from concept of the project to performance evaluation. On the last day of the Festival 12 finalists were defending their projects to experts. The jury noted that future specialists in public relations successfully coped with the presentation and showed high level of professionalism.

Teams could learn from professionals on master classes traditional for the Festival. This year experts were Svetlana Melnikova, Head of event-agency UNIQUEPR, Alexandr Danilovsky, PR-director of international dating service TopFace, Evgeny Lazarenko, chief editor of magazine Time Out Petersburg, Ekaterina Bogomolets, Head of SMM - agency "Sotheby's", Anna Ereshko, PR-manager of restaurant holding Food Retail Group, Anna Shcherbiy , PR-director of communications agency GLOBAL POINT, Marina Peshekhonova, Head of Public Relations of JSC  “Russia” Airlines”, Anton Karasev, director of communications of Alex Fitness and Nina Ostrovskaya, PR-manager of TNT in St. Petersburg.

The festival became useful not only for students but also for teachers. On the third day of the Festival the traditional meeting of the Association of Teachers of Public relations took place. One of the most significant events in 2013 was the creation of "Passport professional communicator competencies". APSO members also discussed further development of the project "Crystal Orange" and "Library". After the meeting seminar for teachers was held. «PR. 20 years later " - this topic set the tone of the workshop and became ground for discussion.
